Break-Safe® Breakaway Sign Support System
Transpo Break-Safe® is Transpo’s breakaway support system for ground mounted signs that are located within roadside clear zones or other locations vulnerable to vehicular impacts. The omni-directional system is designed to break away quickly and cleanly upon impact, thus saving lives and reducing property damage.
All Break-Safe® models are FHWA approved for use on the National Highway System (NHS) and Federal-Aid projects.
Break-Safe® Sign Post Selection Program
Select the appropriate breakaway sign supports using site-specific input parameters and current AASHTO standards. The software will provide structural analysis results, recommended post sizes, and corresponding Break-Safe® model recommendations.

MASH TESTING for Break-Safe
Break-Safe® has been crash-tested, resulting in a FHWA acceptance letter. New national signing standards specify increased sign sizes and wind load levels, creating a significant increase in the structural demands of sign supports.
